The 5km Course
Can I bring my pet along with me?
As much as we love animals, we cannot allow them on the course for safety reasons.
What happens if it rains?
The event will go ahead rain or shine. Whilst we will do our best to make sure the event continues as planned, in the unlikely event of severe weather, the event will be cancelled. Your safety is our number one priority – your enjoyment of our event is a close second.
Do I have to run the full course?
No, this is a fun event not a competition. Have fun with it. Dance, walk, skip, jog or run, your choice. People of all abilities welcome – wheelchairs are permitted on the course, just keep in mind some areas are grassed and may be muddy. If you decide not to run just stay to the right side of the course track and let those who have lots of energy to run pass you easily.
Will I be timed throughout the course?
No, you won't be, the colourXplosion is not a race. The aim is to get as much coloured powder on you as possible!
How long does the colourXplosion route take to complete?
That depends on the participant. You will have 2 hours to complete the course and get as much colour thrown on you as possible!
Will there be water stations on the course?
Absolutely! We will have a water station available to keep everyone hydrated.
Can I bring my stroller/pram/child's trike on the course?
You sure can! As long as you don't mind it getting covered in colourful powder throughout the course.
Handy Info
What should I wear?
This event is messy. That’s the idea! So wear WHITE CLOTHES that you don’t mind getting colour on, lots and lots of colour. Most of the colour will come out in the wash but it's not guaranteed. Comfortable walking or running shoes, sweat bands, hat and sunglasses to protect your eyes are also recommended.
What if I have light coloured hair?
If you have light coloured hair and don’t want to have a semi permanent powder colour for a few extra days, then we recommend that you wear a cap, hat or bandana to cover your hair.
Should I bring anything else?
Registration Info

If you would like to set up your own fundraising team page for donations please contact the PCYC Queensland Fundraising Team at fundraising@pcyc.org.au
