PCYC Maranoa
PCYC Queensland is a trusted and respected registered charity. Our staff and volunteers have been working with the Queensland Police Services (QPS) to meet local community needs since 1948.
Opened in 2012, PCYC Maranoa is a cornerstone in the Roma community and is a vital point of engagement for young people who are at-risk, disadvantaged or disengaged.
The club offers crucial youth development programs including Drop In and After Dark ─ providing opportunities for young people to get involved in a wide range of sporting activities, and learn from great volunteer mentors and community leaders ─ including our serving QPS police officers.
In the last year, the Drop In and After Dark programs had over 3,600+ engagements with young people in Roma. Adding to this, the club’s Braking the Cycle learner-driver mentorship program assisted young people to get their driver’s licence by offering over 218 driving hours.
Commencing in April 2024, the club also welcomed a cadet cohort of local youth aged 12-17 into the Emergency Services Cadets leadership training program.
These free programs are specifically suited to the Maranoa community ─ giving our local young people of all ages and abilities opportunities to grow, learn, and progress in a positive environment. With your support, we can help more young Queenslanders raise their gaze to a brighter future.
Your support of the colourXplosion event will help us build safer, healthier communities through youth development.
